Dr. Aqeela Naqvi

Dr. Naqvi (pronounced NUCK-vee) earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from The College of New Jersey, and her Doctorate in Optometry from The State University of New York College of Optometry.

Dr. Naqvi brings with her knowledge gleaned from some of the foremost experts in eye care, as well as vast clinical training from the SUNY University Eye Clinic, Woodhull Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, and the NYU Student Health Center. Her main focuses are primary care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. She also has a special interest in myopia control (methods used to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children).

Dr. Naqvi believes in providing a high-quality, enjoyable experience for her new and return patients—taking the time to communicate and work together to find solutions for each patient's unique lifestyle. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, and is able to provide eye exams in English, Urdu, and Spanish.

In her spare time, Dr. Naqvi enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with family.

We are now open for routine eye care. We have taken extensive measures to keep our staff and patients safe. Please call or email (promenadeoptometricclinic@gmail.com) prior to coming in so that we can book a time and notify you of our safety protocols in order to maintain social distancing.

If you need to order your contact lenses please call or email us and we will ship them to you directly.

If you prefer, our Optometrists are still offering virtual eye care when possible.

We ask that if you or someone you live with has been ill in the last 14 days, you have traveled outside Ontario in the last 14 days and/or you have been diagnosed/exposed to COVID-19 in the last 30 days that you refrain from making an appointment at this time.
