Upon receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, Dr. Emun extended her stay there to complete a residency in Pediatrics & Infant Vision. She is passionate about helping children achieve their best visual potential to help them perform their best in and outside of the classroom. Through her residency she gained clinical proficiency in myopia management (slowing the progression of myopia in children) and is excited to discuss the different options for her patients.

During her optometry degree, clinical rotations through Woodhull Hospital, Ezra Medical Center and NYU Student Health Center equipped her with the clinical experience to effectively treat and manage patients with a variety of ocular conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Emun can perform eye exams in English and Tigrinya and is committed to providing high quality eye care to all her patients. She welcomes new patients of all ages and demographics! Dr. Emun is a member of the Ontario College of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Emun likes listening to podcasts, trying out new Mexican restaurants and salsa dancing.
